THF – The Healing Foundation – is a membership, training, and referral organisation for Spiritual Healing (or Natural Healing as it is sometimes called).  We are a nationwide organisation and we pride ourselves on giving a personal service to our Healer Members. If you require Healing we may be able to put you in touch with a THF Healer in your area. THF was established in Shrewsbury twenty years ago and in 2006 moved to Milton Keynes where the THF Healing and Training Centre is based.  All of our Courses and Workshops take place there.  We Certificate a range of Healing related Workshops and Courses as part of our CPD programme as well as our comprehensive One Year Healer Training Course. At THF we believe that Student Healers who wish to work with the general public, should be provided with as much information as possible in their training and encouraged, supported and guided by their Trainers to enable them to feel confident about their ability to channel the healing energies in a beneficial way. We recognise that not everyone wants to work with the general public so we facilitate a three month course in Healing for those who wish to learn enough to give healing to family and friends. (See section on Training for more information). We believe that it is important that we provide professional training for Healers in order to offer the best service and protection for our Healers and the general public. Information on Reiki - Since Reiki means ‘universal life force energy’ in Japanese and this is exactly what mainstream Healers channel for the benefit of their clients, the THF supports this tradition of Natural Healing. We believe, however, that in order to practise as a Reiki Healer, it is desirable that Healer practitioners be trained in mainstream Healing first.  This offers Reiki Healers the best practice and protection.  The way Reiki is taught, sometimes just over a few days, does not provide sufficient time to cover the wider implications of the healing relationship and the healing process.  Some Reiki students don’t have time to build their confidence and they don’t receive ongoing support and guidance to enable them to start practising on the general public. Spiritual Healing is currently regulated in a way that Reiki isn’t, although this may change soon.  As part of our One Year Spiritual Healing Course we include a one day workshop (Introduction to Reiki) and once a student has successfully completed their One year course they can go on to do Reiki 1, 2 & 3 with THF’s Reiki Master, should they wish to do so.     THF can offer membership to: THF Student Healers (if you are unable to visit Milton Keynes we may be able to arrange training in your area.  See THF Registered Trainers section). Any Healer who has successfully completed the THF Certificated One Year Healing Course. Any Healer who wishes to transfer from another Healing Organisation as long as they hold a current Healing Certificate and are able to supply Healing references. Any Healer whose Healing Certificate has lapsed. (We have several fast-track training schemes available) Any Reiki Healer who wishes to gain an Accredited Healing Certificate and can supply a current Reiki Healing Certificate and Reiki Healing References.  (We have several fast-track training schemes available).
