Introduction to Healing - 1 Day (leading onto the full Healer Training programme
|
Before embarking on the full Healer Training Programme, would-be healers are invited to learn all about healing and what the training involves, how the course is structured, taught and assessed, and the THF support systems. This day provides a taster of what healing is and what the practice of being a healer involves, including the code of conduct.

One-Year Certificated Healer Training Course (Consessions are available)
|
This one year course is in two parts. The first part is for three months and covers all the basic healing skills including learning a healing routine and learning about the code of conduct. This is ideal for people who wish to just give healing to family and friends and will result in a certificate of attendance.
For those wishing to give healing to the general public they can continue for a further nine months. They will be required to purchase our comprehensive manual, and join THF as a student member. They will also be required to attend the "Introduction to Communication Skills" workshop and the "Introduction to Reiki Workshop" before the end of the course. On successful completion of the course students will be required to join the THF as a Full Healer member. Students can attend training in Milton Keynes or can take part in our distant learning scheme which requires them to attend a minimum of 3 workshops throughout the year. They will also be required to keep a record of any healing practice on family and friends, and complete 3 basic assignments throughout the year and a final written and practical assessment.

Introduction to Communication Skills Workshop - 1 day
|
This workshop teaches basic skills in knowing how to listen and to respond to people and in how to establish rapport with a client. There are many other areas where good communications skills apply, including maintaining a 'professional' distance, and understanding personal boundaries, and how to deal tactfully with delicate situations. This workshop now also forms part of the full healer training programme.

Effective Communications for Positive Relationships' Part one - 1 day
|
This one day workshop will get you thinking about how and why communication breaks down and that by making simple changes in behaviour you can experience dramatically different and more positive relationships.
This advanced communications workshop is open to anyone who wishes to improve their relationships with others as well as healing practitioners and THF members. There is also a follow up workshop available dealing with practical communication skills.

How to manage your energy effectively - 1 day
|
Do some people leave you feeling drained and exhausted?
Do you find negative people difficult to deal with?
Do you carry other people's problems on your shoulders?
This one day workshop will help you to overcome these problems and is open to anyone who wishes to manage their energy more effectively as well as for healing practitioners and THF members.

Healer Refresher course - 1 day
|
This course ensures that members are kept abreast of any changes which may affect their practice. The workshop will also introduce long-standing healers to the new healer training programme, and re-acquaint them with their codes of practice. In recent years the training of healers has become much more rigorous and lengthy owing to closer scrutiny from professional accrediting organisations and other regulatory bodies. It is recommended as a must CPD workshop.

Healer Counsellor Course- 2 day
|
Listening to clients and offering empathetic support is part of the role of the healer and this course provides important skills for those who wish to offer an additional ("talk" healing) service for their clients. It is often the case that some clients may require a longer time to talk through their problems. The course introduces basic counselling skills alongside essential features of the healer/client relationship. Healers need to have had at least 3 years healing experience and to have attended the Communications training programme.

Train the Healer Trainer - 1 day (there will be ongoing follow-up days
|
This course is designed to teach healers with at least 3 years healing experience how to conduct the full 'THF healer training programme and so train student healers in accordance with the regulations of the Confederation of Healing Organisations. The course includes how to structure a student's training, the role of the trainer, supervision, record keeping and assessments, and practical sessions on teaching styles and problem-solving. Healer trainers will be invited along to follow-up sessions both to keep up to date and share experiences. The cost of this workshop includes a training manual.
